Dr. John Adams is our board-certified dermatologist. In 2016, Dr. Adams was recognized for his significant contribution to the specialty of dermatology and his dedication to patient care and is a recipient of the 2017 American Academy of Dermatology’s Presidential Citation Award. Since 2003, he has also been selected as one of “America’s Top Physicians.” Dr. Adams served as the 2016 President of the Kansas Society for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Adams is the most experienced Mohs surgeon in the state. He also served on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Mohs Surgery from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, Dr. Adams has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine teaching medical students and residents, since 2014. Dr. Adams served in the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea and Fort Carson, Colorado. After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, he attended the College of San Mateo, where he graduated with high honors and was nominated to Permanent Membership of Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Dr. Adams received his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He has been practicing at Advanced Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, PA since 1998. Dr. Adams, his wife, and two children moved to Kansas in 1996. Shortly thereafter, they made a weekend trip to Manhattan, Kansas, and found their dream place to live. When not in the office, Dr. Adams enjoys sporting events, ranching, history, movies, and going for long drives on country roads with his wife and dogs.
